In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

O THOU human being! 1 By the Qur'an, full of Wisdom,- 2 that you (Muhammad) are a Messenger 3 upon the straight path. 4 (and this Qur'an) is a revelation from the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate 5 that thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were never warned, so they are heedless. 6 The sentence is surely justified against most of them, for they do not believe. 7 Lo! We have put on their necks carcans reaching unto the chins, so that they are made stiff-necked. 8 We have set-up a barrier in front of and behind them and have made them blind. Thus, they cannot see. 9 It makes no difference to them whether you warn them or do not warn them: they will not believe. 10 You should only warn those who follow the Quran and have fear of the Beneficent God without seeing Him. Give them the glad news of their receiving forgiveness and an honorable reward (from God). 11 Verily We! We shall quicken the dead. And We write down that which they send before and their footsteps. And everything We have counted up in a Book luminous. 12
