The warnings came also to Pharaoh's folk. 41 They, too, rejected all Our signs. So We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent. 42 Are your unbelievers (of Makkah) any better than they? Or have you been granted any immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or say they: We are a host victorious? 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 In fact, the Hour of Doom is the time for them to suffer. The suffering of this hour is the most calamitous and the most bitter (of all suffering). 46 Indeed the wrongdoers are in error and a raging fire. 47 The day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire: 'Taste now the touch of Sakar!' 48 We have indeed created all things by a proper measure. 49 We command but once: Our will is done in the twinkling of an eye; 50 And We have indeed destroyed your kind, so is there one who would ponder? 51 Whatever they have done has been recorded in the Books (records of the deeds). 52 everything large or small, is duly inscribed. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 honorably seated in the presence of the All-dominant King. 55
