The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
