3/4 Hizb 37
< random >
۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 And Pharaoh sent heralds unto all cities, 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 and indeed they are enraging us; 55 And verily we are host well-provided. 56 So We expelled them from gardens, springs, 57 And treasures and goodly dwellings, 58 This happened with them; (but on the other hand), We enabled the Children of Israel to inherit those bounties. 59 Pharaoh and his people pursued them at sunrise, 60 and as soon as the two hosts came in sight of one another, the followers of Moses exclaimed: "Behold, we shall certainly be overtaken [and defeated]!" 61 Said Moosa, “Never! Indeed my Lord is with me, He will now show me the way.” 62 Thereupon We inspired Moses thus: Strike the sea with thy staff!" - whereupon it parted, and each part appeared like a mountain vast. 63 And We brought near thither the others. 64 and We saved Moses and all who were with him, 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 67 And yet, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 68

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
