The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 Followed by oft-repeated (commotions): 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 you pay attention 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
