Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 noble, writers 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
