Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; 2 Surely, he will be cast into a Flaming Fire 3 And so will his wife; carrying a bundle of firewood on her head. 4 A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck! 5
God the Almighty always says the truth.
