Alshu'araa' 6 of 11
The people of Noah denied the messengers 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 107 So be fearful of God and listen to me. 108 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 109 Have fear of God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest (of the people) follow you?" 111 He said: "And what do I know as to what they do? 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if you could (but) know. 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a clear warner' 115 'Noah' they replied, 'if you do not desist you shall be of those stoned' 116 He said, “My Lord, my people have denied me.” 117 Therefor judge Thou between us, a (conclusive) judgment, and save me and those believers who are with me. 118 So We delivered him, and those with him, in the laden ship, 119 Then We drowned the rest afterwards 120 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And indeed your Lord, only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
