The people of Lot rejected the Messengers. 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 164 What! do you come to the males from among the creatures 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? You are a people who transgress all bounds." 166 They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled (from our towns)." 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 save an old woman among those that tarried; 171 But the rest We destroyed utterly. 172 and We rained on them a rain; and evil is the rain of them that are warned. 173 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
