And assuredly We delivered the Children of Isra'il from an ignominous torment 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 And We vouchsafed unto them signs wherein was a manifest favour. 33 Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying, 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if what you say is true' 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba' and those who came before them? We destroyed them, because they were guilty of sin. 37 For [thus it is:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in mere idle play: 38 We created them not except for just ends: but most of them do not understand. 39 Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,- 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 Save those on whom Allah shall have mercy; surely He is the Mighty the Merciful. 42
