Verily the tree of Zaqqum 43 Is the food of the sinners. 44 Like molten copper; it churns in their bellies. 45 like the boiling of burning despair. 46 “Seize him, and forcibly drag him right to the blazing fire.” 47 Then pour above his head of the torment of the boiling water: 48 Taste thou! thou art indeed mighty, honoured! 49 This is the very thing which you [deniers of the truth] were wont to call in question!" 50 As to the Righteous (they will be) in a position of Security, 51 amid gardens and springs, 52 dressed in silks and brocade, set face to face. 53 Just like that. We shall pair them with companions with large black eyes. 54 They will call for every kind of fruit with satisfaction. 55 and neither shall they taste death there after having passed through their erstwhile death. Thus will He have preserved them from all suffering through the blazing fire 56 A bounty from thy Lord. That! that is the supreme achievement. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 Wait, then; they too are waiting. 59
