In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
