He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and then turned away 1 Because the blind man had come in his august presence. 2 Yet for all thou didst know, [O Muhammad,] he might perhaps have grown in purity, 3 or take heed and derive benefit from [Our] warning? 4 But the self-sufficient, 5 To him you give attention. 6 And not upon you [is any blame] if he will not be purified. 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment), 9 you pay him no heed. 10 NAY, VERILY, these [messages] are but a reminder: 11 Let him who will, pay heed to it. 12 It is set down on honoured pages, 13 lofty and pure, 14 Written by the hands of emissaries. 15 Noble and pious. 16 Accursed be man! How stubbornly he denies the Truth. 17 From what thing doth He create him? 18 From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; 19 and then made the course of life easy for him, 20 Then causeth him to die, and burieth him; 21 then, He will raise him when He wills. 22 Nay, but man did not fulfil what Allah had enjoined upon him. 23 Let man therefore consider (the sources of) his food. 24 [how it is] that We pour down water, pouring it down abundantly; 25 Then We split the earth properly. 26 We make the grain grow out of it, 27 And grapes and herbage 28 And olive-trees and palm-trees 29 And dense gardens, 30 And fruits and fodder,- 31 as provision for you and for your cattle to enjoy. 32 But when the Shout cometh 33 on the Day when each man shall flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 As well as his wife and children. 36 on that Day every man among them will have enough concern of his own -- 37 [Some] faces, that Day, will be bright - 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news; 39 but others will be gloomy 40 o'erspread with darkness -- 41 those -- they are the unbelievers, the libertines. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
