Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 The piercing star! 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
