The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are the verses of the Clear Book. 2 (O Muhammad), you will perhaps grieve yourself to death because these people do not believe. 3 If We please, We should send down upon them a sign from the heaven so that their necks should stoop to it. 4 Never does there come to them an admonition from the Merciful Lord but they turn away from it. 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 Have they not seen the earth, how much of every fruitful kind We make to grow therein? 7 Verily, in this is an Ayah (proof or sign), yet most of them (polytheists, pagans, etc., who do not believe in Resurrection) are not believers. 8 And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 9
