And when your Lord called out to Musa, saying: Go to the unjust people, 10 the people of Pharaoh: do they have no fear?" 11 He said: My Lord! Lo! I fear that they will deny me, 12 and then my breast will be straitened and my tongue will not be free: send, then, [this Thy command] to Aaron. 13 And they have a crime against me, therefore I fear that they may slay me. 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds, 16 that you let the Children of Israel go with us.'" 17 Said Firaun, “Did we do not raise you amongst us, as a child? And you spent many years of your life among us!” 18 And you did (that) deed of yours which you did, and you are one of the ungrateful. 19 Moses replied: "I committed that act erringly. 20 So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and prophethood and appointed me [as one] of the messengers. 21 And this is the past favour wherewith thou reproachest me: that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel. 22 The Pharaoh asked: "And what is the Lord of all the worlds?" 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord and Cherisher of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- if ye want to be quite sure." 24 (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?" 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 26 (The Pharaoh) said (to his nobles): "Your apostle who has been sent to you, is certainly mad." 27 [Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason." 28 Said he, 'If thou takest a god other than me, I shall surely make thee one of the imprisoned.' 29 and Moses asked, "Even if I show you a clear sign?" 30 Fir'awn said: forth with it then, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 31 So he cast his staff, and behold, it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
