The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 Where then are you going? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
