Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Certainly the news of the calamity that will overwhelm has come to you! 1 (Some) faces on that day shall be downcast, 2 laboring, wornout, 3 They shall roast into the scalding Fire, 4 They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 On that very Day some faces shall be radiant with joy, 8 Well-pleased because of their striving, 9 They shall be in a Garden lofty: 10 where they will hear no idle talk, 11 with a flowing spring, 12 and couches raised high, 13 And cups set at hand. 14 and cushions ranged, 15 And carpets spread around. 16 What, do they not reflect upon how the camel was created? 17 And how the heaven was raised up, 18 And the mountains – how they have been established? 19 And how the earth was outstretched? 20 Therefore advise; indeed you are a proclaimer of advice. (The Holy Prophet is a Remembrance from Allah.) 21 You are not over them a controller. 22 Save the one who turns away and disbelieves 23 God will punish them with the greatest torment. 24 for behold, unto Us will be their return, 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
