The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger sent to you. 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 109 Have fear of God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: Shall we believe in you while the meanest follow you? 111 He said, “What do I know what their deeds are?” 112 Their reckoning rests with none but my Sustainer: if you could but understand [this]! 113 It is not for me to repel those who choose to believe. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 He said: My Lord! Lo! my own folk deny me. 117 So decide Thou between me and them with a decision, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 So We delivered him and those with him, in the Ark filled (with all creatures). 119 Thereafter We drowned those who remained behind. 120 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
