The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 Recall, when their brother Lot said to them: "Have you no fear? 161 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 164 "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Lot, thou shalt assuredly be one of the expelled.' 167 He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it]. 168 'My Lord, save me and my people from that they are doing' 169 Thereupon We saved him and all his household 170 except an old woman who remained behind. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 And We showered a rain upon them; so what a wretched rain for those who were warned! 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 175
