Truly, it is the sending of the Lord of the Worlds. 192 Which the trusted spirit descended with 193 To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And lo! it is in the Scriptures of the men of old. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars (like 'Abdullah bin Salam who embraced Islam) of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 They will not believe therein until they behold the torment afflictive. 201 But the (Penalty) will come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 And then cometh that which they were promised, 206 What shall that which they enjoyed avail them? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 And [this divine writ is such a reminder:] no evil spirits have brought it down: 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So call on no other god but God, lest you are condemned to torment; 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 And lower thy wing (in kindness) unto those believers who follow thee. 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 Have trust in the Majestic and All-merciful God, 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 For it is He Who heareth and knoweth all things. 220 [And] shall I tell you upon whom it is that those evil spirits descend? 221 They descend on every lying, wicked person, 222 Who give ear, and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets - it is the seduced who follow them. 224 Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
