۞ And when the son of Mary is quoted as an example, behold! the folk laugh out, 57 And they say, “Are our deities better or he?” They did not say this to you except to unjustly argue; in fact they are a quarrelsome people. 58 He is naught but a bondman: him We favoured, and him We made an ensample unto the Children of Israil. 59 And had We willed We could have appointed angels born of you in the earth to succeed each other. 60 It is the knowledge of the Hour. Have no doubt concerning it, and follow me. This is a Straight Path, 61 And let not Shaitan (Satan) hinder you (from the right religion, i.e. Islamic Monotheism), Verily, he (Satan) to you is a plain enemy. 62 And when Jesus brought clear proofs, he said, "I have come to you with wisdom and to make clear to you some of that over which you differ, so fear Allah and obey me. 63 For God, He is my Lord and your Lord: so worship Him: that is a straight path." 64 But the factions differed among themselves. Woe alas to the sinners for the torment of the grievous Day! 65 Are they waiting (for any thing) but the Hour (of Doom) which would descend upon them suddenly, and catch them unawares? 66 Friends will turn into enemies on that day, except those who fear and follow the straight path. 67
