Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. 42 Are the unbelievers of yours better than these, or is there an exemption for you in the scriptures? 43 Or do they say, 'We are a congregation that shall be succoured?' 44 [Yet] the hosts [of those who deny the truth] shall be routed, and they shall turn their backs [in flight]! 45 Nay, but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure). 46 Surely the sinners are in error and insanity! 47 The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" 48 Surely We have created everything in measure. 49 And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye. 50 And certainly We have already destroyed the likes of you, but is there anyone who will mind? 51 And all what they did is in the Books. 52 everything, be it great or small, is recorded. 53 Indeed the pious are amidst Gardens and springs. 54 in the seat of truth with an all-powerful sovereign. 55
