The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. 181 weigh with an even balance 182 Wrong not mankind in their goods, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. 183 “And fear Him Who created you and the earlier creations.” 184 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 So cause a fragment of the sky to fall on us, if you are truthful." 187 He said, 'My Lord knows very well what you are doing.' 188 But they gave him the lie. And thereupon suffering overtook them on a day dark with shadows: and verily, it was the suffering of an awesome day! 189 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191
