Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23
