Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 until an appointed time? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
