The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
