Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 It will engulf them. 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
