And recall what time thy Lord called unto Musa, saying: go thou unto the wrong-doing people. 10 the nation of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Me' 11 He said: "O my Lord! I do fear that they will charge me with falsehood: 12 I feel nervous and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron with me. 13 They also have a sin against me, and I fear they will slay me.' 14 Allah said: "Nay! Go you both with Our Signs. Verily! We shall be with you, listening. 15 And go, both of you, unto Pharaoh and say, 'Behold, we bear a message from the Sustainer of all the worlds: 16 (Saying): Let the Children of Israel go with us. 17 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said [to Musa (Moses)]: "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you did dwell many years of your life with us. 18 And [then] you did your deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful." 19 (Moses) replied: "I did do that and I was in the wrong, 20 I fled from you because I feared you. But my Lord has given me judgment and made me one of the Messengers. 21 And that favour wherewith thou didst oblige me was that thou hadst enslaved the Children of Isra'il? 22 The Pharaoh asked: "And what is the Lord of all the worlds?" 23 He said: The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you would be sure. 24 Pharaoh said to those around him: "Do you hear (what he says)?" 25 Musa (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers!" 26 The Pharaoh said, "The Messenger who has been sent to you is certainly insane". 27 He said: Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them, if ye did but understand. 28 [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned." 29 He said: Even though I show thee something plain? 30 Said Firaun, “Then bring it, if you are of the truthful.” 31 So (Moses) threw his rod, and behold, it was a serpent, plain (for all to see)! 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
