So did you observe him who turned away? 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
