After we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 47 And also our forefathers?" 48 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "(Yes) verily, those of old, and those of later times. 49 will indeed be gathered together at an appointed time on a Day known [only to God]: 50 Then you, the erring and the deniers, 51 will eat from the fruit of the tree of Zaqqum, 52 And filling with it your bellies 53 and will thereupon have to drink [many a draught] of burning despair 54 and you will drink as the lapping of thirsty camels. 55 That is their accommodation on the Day of Recompense. 56 We have created you, then why would you not confirm it? 57 Behold! that which ye emit. 58 Do ye create it or are We the Creator? 59 We have decreed death among you, and We are not to be outdone 60 in replacing you with another creation like you, changing you into a form which you do not know. 61 And you have already known the first creation, so will you not remember? 62 Have you considered what you sow? 63 Is it you that cause it to grow, or are We the causers of growth? 64 We could turn it, if We pleased, into straw; then you would rue the day, 65 crying, "We have been left to suffer loss. 66 Nay! we are deprived. 67 Have you thought about the water you drink? 68 Is it you who cause it from the rainclouds to come down, or are We the Causer of it to come down? 69 Did We will, We would make it bitter; so why are you not thankful? 70 Have ye observed the fire which ye strike out; 71 Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer? 72 We have made it as a reminder of hell and as a utility for travellers in the jungle. 73 So glorify your Lord, the most supreme. 74
