The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
