Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the time comes for messengers to meet -- 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 "Eat and drink with relish as reward for what you had done." 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place the womb. 21 till a known term decreed? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 "Move towards what you used to deny!" 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
