We certainly gave the Book to Moses, but differences arose therein: had it not been that a word had gone forth before from thy Lord, the matter would have been decided between them, but they are in suspicious doubt concerning it. 110 And, of a surety, to all will your Lord pay back (in full the recompense) of their deeds: for He knoweth well all that they do. 111 So go thou straight, as thou hast been commanded, and whoso repents with thee; and be you not insolent; surely He sees the things you do. 112 And do not incline towards, nor rely upon, those who are bent on evildoing lest the fire [of the hereafter] touch you: for [then] you would have none to protect you from God, nor would you ever be succoured [by Him]. 113 And perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), at the two ends of the day and in some hours of the night [i.e. the five compulsory Salat (prayers)]. Verily, the good deeds remove the evil deeds (i.e. small sins). That is a reminder (an advice) for the mindful (those who accept advice). 114 And be patient; verily, Allah loses not the reward of the good-doers. 115 Why, then, were there not among the generations before you upright men who would speak out against the [spread of] corruption on earth -- except for the few whom We saved? But the wrongdoers pursued their worldly pleasures and thus became guilty. 116 Yet thy Lord would never destroy the cities unjustly, while as yet their people were putting things right. 117 And had thy Lord willed, He would surely have made mankind of one community, and they will not cease differing. 118 Except whom your Lord has given mercy, and for that He created them. But the word of your Lord is to be fulfilled that, "I will surely fill Hell with jinn and men all together." 119 AND [remember:] out of all the accounts relating to the [earlier] apostles We convey unto thee [only] that wherewith We [aim to] make firm thy heart: for through these [accounts] comes the truth unto thee, as well as an admonition and a reminder unto all believers. 120 And say to those who do not believe: Act according to your state; surely we too are acting. 121 And do wait for the end of things; we too are waiting. 122 To God belongs the Unseen in the heavens and the earth. To Him the whole matter shall be returned; so serve Him, and put thy trust in Him. Thy Lord is not heedless of the things you do. 123
