The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 by the promised day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 by a burning fire 5 When they sat by it 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
