And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 And made his progeny survive, 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
