Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built? 27 He raised its ceiling and proportioned it. 28 Its night He covers with darkness, and its forenoon He brings out (with light). 29 and thereafter spread out the earth, 30 And brought forth therefrom its water and its pasture; 31 And solidified the mountains. 32 all this as provision for you and your cattle. 33 Then when the Grand Calamity shall come 34 The Day when man shall remember (all) that he strove for, 35 And hell will stand forth visible to him who seeth, 36 anyone who has acted arrogantly 37 and preferred the worldly life, 38 hell will be their dwelling. 39 But unto him who shall have stood in fear of his Sustainer's Presence, and held back his inner self from base desires, 40 most surely his abode shall be Paradise. 41 They question thee of the Hour: when will its arrival be? 42 [But] how couldst thou tell anything about it, 43 Unto thy Lord belongeth (knowledge of) the term thereof. 44 You are only a warner to him who would fear it. 45 The Day they see it, (It will be) as if they had tarried but a single evening, or (at most till) the following morn! 46
