The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky with its constellations, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
