Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 Until ye visit the graves. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 again, you shall most certainly end up seeing it with absolute certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, you will be called to account for all the bounties you enjoyed. 8
