The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 in its long columns of flames. 9
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
