Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
