The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 roaring over the hearts 7 (And) vaults them over 8 in outstretched columns. 9
