(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you – therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
