The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed; 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 and gathered his people together 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 you pay attention 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
