The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord Who created, 1 created the human from a (blood) clot. 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient. 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids 9 a servant when he prays -- 10 Do you think he is rightly guided, 11 or is concerned with God-consciousness? 12 Hast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward? 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 No indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 We will call the guards of hell. 18 Nay! (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah! ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
