The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And what is in the breasts is made apparent? 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
