The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 covered down upon them, 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
