The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful 1

All praise unto Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. 2 The Merciful, the Compassionate 3 The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) 4 (Lord), You alone We do worship and from You alone we do seek assistance 5 Guide us to the Straight Way 6 The path of those You have blessed, Not of those who have earned Your anger, nor those who have gone astray. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
