Did you not see that We sent devils upon the disbelievers, so they excite them abundantly? 83 So make no haste against them; We only count out to them a (limited) number (of the days of the life of this world and delay their term so that they may increase in evil and sins). 84 On the Day of Judgment, when the pious people will be brought into the presence of the Beneficent God as the guests of honor 85 and drive those who were lost in sin unto hell as a thirsty herd is driven to a well 86 having no power of intercession, save those who have taken with the All-merciful covenant. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 Assuredly, you have uttered a monstrous falsehood: 89 Whereby the heavens are almost torn, and the earth is split asunder, and the mountains fall in ruins, 90 Due to their ascribing of an offspring to the Most Gracious. 91 And it is not worthy of the Beneficent Allah that He should take (to Himself) a son. 92 there is none in the heavens or on the earth but shall return to the Merciful in utter submission, 93 He has counted them and calculated their number. 94 On the Day of Resurrection each one of these will come to Him singly. 95 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection. 96 So We have made this (the Quran) easy in your own tongue (O Muhammad SAW), only that you may give glad tidings to the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - See V. 2:2), and warn with it the Ludda (most quarrelsome) people. 97 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them! Perceivest thou of them anyone or hear of them a whisper? 98
