In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod. 6 And if you speak aloud – so He surely knows the secret and that which is more concealed. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 9 When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire. 10 When he came to it, a voice called out: "Moses! 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed: 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" 17 He answered: "It is my staff; I lean on it; and with it I beat down leaves for my sheep; and [many] other uses have I for it." 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 So he threw it down, and lo! it was a rapidly moving snake. 20 (Allah) said, "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition".. 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
